Who We Are

The Regional Research Centre for Integrated Development (RCID Ltd), established in Rwanda in May 2013, is a research-based organization with extensive expertise in disaster mitigation, community resilience, and comprehensive planning. RCID excels in Results-based Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (M&E), offering services such as Baseline, Mid-term, End-line evaluations, impact assessments, and feasibility studies.

RCID's work spans biodiversity, wildlife management, forestry landscape restoration (FLR), climate change, water management, food security, nutrition, agriculture, and socio-economic development. Leveraging advanced technologies like satellite data, GIS, ICT, and drones, RCID supports agricultural innovation and information dissemination. The organization maintains a robust network of local, regional, and international consultants.

In collaboration with the Rwandan government and other stakeholders, RCID has driven climate change adaptation strategies, notably partnering with IFPRI to enhance agricultural policies. RCID is a key contributor to the Eastern Africa Community Climate Change Thematic Group and advocates for sustainable solutions in the region.

Partnerships:

National Level: Engages with public and private sectors, academic institutions, and farmer organizations in Rwanda.

Regional Level: Partners with Eastern Africa entities like Biovision Africa Trust, IFOAM, and ROAM to promote organic agriculture and knowledge sharing.

Continental Level: Collaborated with ACBF and AFSA to support African food policy and tobacco control initiatives.
